We are committed to improving the well-being of humankind and helping our species live in harmony with the biosphere. Our long-term aim is to solve modern civilization's core problem: everyday people's struggle to provide for themselves and maintain a high standard of living without selling years of their time.


Ordinary corporations fundamentally cannot address this because they (1) make people desire products, which requires people to work more, and (2) seek to accumulate ever-growing piles of purchasing power which, when spent, requires people to work more. The Rising Sea is different at its core: we seek to accumulate huge mass and energy flows, and will sell the least amount of crap necessary to do so.


Do not misunderstand: our valuation will be backed in the most ironclad way possible: by physical metal, just like the US dollar under the Bretton-Woods system. Other companies choose to back their value with the promise of future revenues, investments and cash reserves, or physical assets that they've purchased or spent vast amounts of money to construct. We think that's cope. With the proper infrastructure, we will be able to grow our book value using pure physical transformations of energy.
